Pourquoi le corps humain a plus de mal \u00e0 supporter la chaleur humide ?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Le r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 de l&#8217;humidit\u00e9 sur le ressenti<\/h2>\n<p>Si la temp\u00e9rature relev\u00e9e sous abri reste la valeur de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence, elle n&#8217;est pas toujours repr\u00e9sentative de la perception humaine. En effet, l&#8217;inconfort li\u00e9 aux temp\u00e9ratures \u00e9lev\u00e9es est intimement li\u00e9 au taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 de l&#8217;air. Plus l&#8217;air est humide et plus la chaleur est per\u00e7ue comme p\u00e9nible. La raison est finalement assez simple \u00e0 comprendre : tout se passe au niveau de la transpiration. Quand il fait chaud et que l&#8217;air est sec, notre transpiration s&#8217;\u00e9vapore. Ce m\u00e9canisme permet \u00e0 la peau de se rafra\u00eechir. En revanche, quand l&#8217;air est humide, notre transpiration ne s&#8217;\u00e9vapore pas ou peu. Ainsi, la peau ne se rafra\u00eechit pas et nos organes internes non plus. L&#8217;inconfort est donc plus grand et le risque de coup de chaleur \u00e9galement.<\/p>\n\n<p><em><strong>Sch\u00e9ma montrant le r\u00f4le de l&#8217;humidit\u00e9 de l&#8217;air sur notre corps par temps chaud<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>En moyenne, la perception est id\u00e9ale avec une temp\u00e9rature de 20\u00b0C et un taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 de 65% ou encore avec 25\u00b0C sous un taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 de 35%. M\u00eame des temp\u00e9ratures de 30 \u00e0 35\u00b0C sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme facilement supportables lorsque l&#8217;air est vraiment tr\u00e8s sec. \u00c0 l&#8217;inverse, la sensation d&#8217;inconfort appara\u00eet d\u00e8s 25\u00b0C lorsque le taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 d\u00e9passe les 60%. Bien \u00e9videmment, le tableau ci-dessous est une moyenne car les diff\u00e9rentes populations de la plan\u00e8te n&#8217;ont pas la m\u00eame sensibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 la chaleur. De plus, il existe des diff\u00e9rences notables d&#8217;un individu \u00e0 un autre. Par ailleurs, il est scientifiquement prouv\u00e9 que la temp\u00e9rature id\u00e9ale pour le corps d&#8217;une femme est environ 2\u00b0C sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle d&#8217;un homme.<\/p>\n\n<p><em><strong>Confort physiologique en fonction de la temp\u00e9rature et de l&#8217;humidit\u00e9<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; via l&#8217;Internaute Magazine<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>L&#8217;humidex : un indice bien utile<\/h2>\n<p>Pour jauger l&#8217;inconfort li\u00e9 \u00e0 la combinaison de la chaleur et de l&#8217;humidit\u00e9, l&#8217;indice humidex a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9. Comme il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;une valeur calcul\u00e9e et non mesur\u00e9e, elle n&#8217;est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 aucune unit\u00e9 (on indique jamais &#8220;degr\u00e9s celcius&#8221; derri\u00e8re une valeur d&#8217;humidex). Le tableau ci-dessous montre l&#8217;indice humidex en fonction de la temp\u00e9ratures relev\u00e9e sous abri et du taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 de l&#8217;air. Ainsi, on constate qu&#8217;une temp\u00e9rature de 22\u00b0C sous abri associ\u00e9e \u00e0 un taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 de 90% donne un humidex de 30, suffisant \u00e0 cr\u00e9er de l&#8217;inconfort. \u00c0 l&#8217;inverse, une temp\u00e9rature de 28\u00b0C sous abri sous un air sec ne contenant que 25% d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 donnera un humidex de 28, soit un ressenti plus agr\u00e9able que dans le cas pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent !<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Indice d&#8217;humidex en fonction de la temp\u00e9rature et de l&#8217;humidit\u00e9\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; M\u00e9t\u00e9o Villes<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, il n&#8217;est donc pas utile que le thermom\u00e8tre atteigne des niveaux records pour que le ressenti soit particuli\u00e8rement d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able. Pour une temp\u00e9rature de 30\u00b0C, l&#8217;humidex est de 30 avec un taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 \u00e0 25% mais s&#8217;envole \u00e0 40 avec un taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 \u00e0 65% et \u00e0 45 avec un taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 \u00e0 85% ! Quand canicule et taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 notables se combinent, le ressenti devient particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9prouvant comme c&#8217;est le cas en France cette semaine. En apr\u00e8s-midi du mardi 30 juillet 2024, on notait des humidex compris entre 40 et 45 sur une grande partie de la France, atteignant m\u00eame 46 \u00e0 Ch\u00e2teauroux ! D\u00e8s 40 d&#8217;humidex, il y a un danger av\u00e9r\u00e9 pour la sant\u00e9 et tout effort physique en ext\u00e9rieur est \u00e0 proscrire.<\/p>\n\n<p><em><strong>Humidex (temp\u00e9rature ressentie en fonction de l&#8217;humidit\u00e9) ce mardi 30 juillet 2024<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; M\u00e9t\u00e9o Villes<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Humidex : des extr\u00eames dans le monde<\/h2>\n<p>Sur Terre, la capitale poss\u00e9dant le taux d&#8217;humidex moyen le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 est Bangkok en Tha\u00eflande. Concern\u00e9e par un climat tropical, elle subit une saison des pluies au cours de laquelle la chaleur s&#8217;associe \u00e0 un air satur\u00e9 en humidit\u00e9, apportant un inconfort tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9. En avril et mai, l&#8217;humidex grimpe r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement vers 55 &#8211; des niveaux tr\u00e8s difficiles \u00e0 vivre et qu&#8217;on ne rencontre pas en France. On estime qu&#8217;\u00e0 partir d&#8217;un humidex de 54, il y a de gros dangers de coup de chaleur tr\u00e8s rapides et pouvant conduire \u00e0 la mort &#8211; notamment pour les populations non-habitu\u00e9es \u00e0 ces conditions extr\u00eames.<\/p>\n\n<p><em><strong>Bangkok en Tha\u00eflande est la capitale poss\u00e9dant l&#8217;humidex le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 au monde<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; via notre livre M\u00e9t\u00e9o Extr\u00eame<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Toutefois, des valeurs d&#8217;humidex encore plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es ont pu \u00eatre enregistr\u00e9es dans le monde. Parmi les valeurs fiables et officielles, on peut noter l&#8217;humidex de <strong>63<\/strong> \u00e0 Williamsburg aux Etats-Unis le 29 juin 2012 ou encore l&#8217;humidex de <strong>68<\/strong> \u00e0 Bandar Mashahar en Iran le 31 juillet 2015 ! Le record est toutefois d\u00e9tenu par la ville de Sibi au Pakistan avec une temp\u00e9rature sous abri de 48,3\u00b0C associ\u00e9e \u00e0 un taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 de 53% le 27 mai 2010, donnant un humidex exceptionnel de <strong>75,8<\/strong> !
